Northern Shore Productions

With White Heart winding down its touring in 1998, Smiley formed his new company Northern Shore Productions, as a studio based production, publishing, and development company based out of Nashville, TN and Scottsdale, AZ.

With a creative Independent mindset, he has established major distribution partners, both digitally and physically, and has exclusive partners in both TV and film in Nashville, LA, and Minnesota.

Developing, writing, producing, and managing a new breed of artists coming into their own in this new decade, Smiley is up to the task. “Everything from rock to alternative, country to pop, folk to worship music, there is a wide range of artistry out there and we have all the ingredients, engineers, players, graphic designers, photographers to make some great music and give these artists a chance to be heard. It’s a great time to be independent, free to create music without the restraints of the old labels ways,” he states.

Some of his projects included The Normals, Johnny Cash, Steven Curtis Chapman, White Heart, The Newsboys, Luna Lune, Leslie Craig, Next 2 Nothing, Jenna Torres, Vince Gill, Elizabeth South, The Technicolors, Laura Walsh, Vertical Bridge, Jenna Epkey, Margaret Becker, Jessica Long, Anna Johnson, James Keith, Joelle Maddyson, The Mark Swayze Band, Molly Hunt, One Bad Pig, Symphony in Red, Tanya Davis, Scott Wesley Brown, The Hymns Project, and Diane di Stasio.
